I painted/drew this a while ago for my best friend Edward as a Christmas present. It took me months of practice on paper and then finally I did it on canvas. I believe the sketch is better but oh well he was happy with it regardless .
There's this picture of him that always caught my eye and whenever I look at it, it looks as thought he's thinking deeply about something, I'm not sure what exactly but definitely something.
All paintings/drawings should contain an equal amount of lights and darks... I like this, and am glad your friend did as well. Next time, maybe try to put a bit more dark in and it will have more depth. Keep up the great work. You impress me..... (Not that I'm anyone to impress!!! LOL!)
